PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: AUSTRALIS DUOS SUNKISSED GLIMMER HIGHLIGHTER AND CONTOUR POWDER

Here's an initial review on AUSTRALIS  DUOS SUNKISSED GLIMMER HIGHLIGHTER AND CONTOUR POWDER

PRICE: ?

PLACE BOUGHT: GIFT FROM HUBBY'S PARENTS

OTHER LOCATIONS: UHMM...AUSTRALIA? LOL.

THE VERDICT:

I haven't heard of this brand. I think this is a local Australian brand, like our local Ever Bilena and Careline brands.

Let's review the packaging. The packaging is made of cheap plastic. And it comes with a brush inside, which is quite soft. It doesn't feel scratchy and it's not shedding.

Here's a closer look at the powder. It has a blush/bronzer and a highlighter.

Here's a pic of the swatches of the highlighter and bronzer. On the right is the blush/bronzer. It's a brown- bronze shade, while the highlighter is a pink pearl shade.

If you have blushes like this. It's actually made like that for a reason. Here's how to make the most out of blushes like this.

My blush/bronzer and highlighter are vertically separated. So when you swipe your brush on it, make sure that you swipe the brush vertically on the powder as well. And this rule applies to horizontally separated blushes as well.

So here's a closer look at the brush with the powders on it. If you look closely, the right side of the brush has the blush/bronzer, while the left side of the brush has the highlighter.

When you apply it on your face, make sure the highlighter is atop the blush/bronzer. In make- up terms, you actually apply the highlighter above the contour so as to give emphasis on the apples of the cheeks.

So here's the blush/bronzer on the cheek plane, and the highlighter on top of it. It's fool- proof and it saves you time as well! :)

Anyhoo, let's go back to our Australis review. This is actually a good blush, despite its cheap- looking quality. The powder is unscented. The powder is finely milled, and it applies like a dream. Pigmentation is good, but not great. But what you'll love about this is, you can build the color on your cheeks, so this is good for those who like sheer make- up looks, or who are not good in applying the right amount of blush. And it holds up pretty well too, like half a day.

The color compliments morena ladies. And I can see this fitting fair- skinned ladies as well.

It's a good brand, but unfortunately, it's not my type. Good thing mom likes it so much. And she's enjoying it right now. :)
