Here’s an initial review on ETUDE HOUSE GREEN TEA NOSE PACK

 THE VERDICT:

Nose strips are pretty much part of my skincare routine. I have oily skin so I have a lot of oil deposits on my facial skin. Once every week, I use this treatment during the night to get rid of deep- seated oil, whiteheads and blackheads.

 So I got this Green Tea nose pack and decided to give it a try. It’s kinda’ expensive for a nose strip because I’ve always been a loyal user of Bench’s Clear Pore Strip which is priced at 15php only. But to give it the benefit of the doubt, I gave Etude House a try and see if there’s something special.  

Okay. So I like the print of the packaging. I find it cute ‘cos I like dolls. :) 

And here’s the strip. It’s green. Hmmm… prolly ‘cos it has green tea?  

Okay so here it is on my nose. It has a nice acidic green tea scent.  

So while waiting, I applied Eskinol Dermclear- C Pimple fighting gel on that nasty pimple. After 3 minutes, here’s what the juicy pimple looked like. It’s swelling and will start to dry overnight. I LOVE ESKINOL! My HG pimple gel. Sorry, told you that this is a sick post.  

AFTER 15 MINUTES 

UGH! I am soooo disappointed! Look at how much deep- seated oil was removed! Only around 2 or three! I’ve searched the surface and there was almost no white or blackheads removed! Gaahhh… I’m so irritated.

 And look at my nose. It looks rough and it feels rough! It wasn’t cleaned at all! Eeew… And it left that nasty green residue which needed a good rubbing of soap and water to remove.

I am definitely not repurchasing! This is a total waste of money. It could’ve afforded me two Bench clear pore strips plus a change of 8 bucks! 

And to end this sick post…

Here’s an initial review on PAC LOOSE EYESHADOW IN ELECTRIC PURPLE

THE VERDICT:

PAC is an asian professional make- up line which I think can go against Kryolan, Benye, Graftobian and RCMA. Their make- ups have superb quality. Great pigmentation and staying power, most especially the eyeshadows.  

So I was lemming for MAC’s Beauty Marked eyeshadow. But since I find it too expensive, I decided to look for a dupe. I think this is pretty much a dupe for Beauty Mark’s black violet color with violet glitters. 

Check out that the powders are almost finely milled, each tiny powder particle contains a generous amount of pigmentation.  

Check this little dot of powder and see how far it goes. 

It gave off an uber pigmented wash of color. It’s a black violet eyeshadow with hints of violet glitter and shimmer.  

And the best part, it doesn’t come off easily. Look! I’ve rubbed the swatch with tissue and it still left a residue. 

One thing that I hate, it’s in the loose form. I’m quite clumsy when it comes to loose make- up that’s why I prefer the pressed ones. But since this is one helluva great product, I’ll try my best not to spill it. Who knows, this product could pretty much teach me how to be more responsible in handling my stuff. Now that’s another great plus! I recommend that you try PAC’s eyeshadows too! Great quality, yet affordable. :)

So I dropped by SM today and managed to score great deals because SM is on a year- end sale! :) 

I got all of these clothes from the brand called MUD.

Here's a nice violet loose top from mud. It has a u- shaped back that makes this top sexy and sophisticated at the same time. :)

And here's my outfit for tomorrow's New Year celebration. It's a royal blue 3/4 jersey dress. It just costed me 449php plus a 5% rebate! I soo love the color and the fit of this dress. :)

I got this pair of Mud jeans. I like the color of the denim. I've been looking for the style for quite sometime now. It's in the skinny style but I like that it's not too skinny. The denim's soft and comfy and it hugs my legs just right. :)

Look at the price of the nice pair of jeans. It's on a crazy sale, and I still had a 5% rebate on this one! :)

And I got this ELF Studio Line blush in Candid Coral for a swap. :)

THE VERDICT:

I decided to give this lippie a try primarily because of its cute packaging. I'm such a sucker for cute packaging! Also, it's the only color that appealed to me from the line. I'll have to check the line again because I was kinda' in a hurry when I dropped by Etude House yesterday. :)

Product is actually long in the tube. Love the diamond slanted tip design and the line design at the middle of the lipstick. :)

It has a satin finish. I love the color! It's a peach- based brown lipstick. A perfect nude lippie that doesn't wash me out. :)

Consistency is smooth and velvety. It has a jellybean smell that is not overpowering. Also, it didn't dry my lips at all! Perfect! However, it gets wiped out if you use your lips more often but stays put completely fine if you're not. Also, I noticed that if you rub your lips often, the color gets wiped off too so try to avoid that as much as possible.

I'm looking forward to getting one more color since the other colors have glitters. Also, I would like to get one color from the VIP Lipstick line! :)

FINALLY! A VISIT TO ETUDE HOUSE AND MY ETUDE HOUSE HAUL!

YAY! Finally I got the chance to visit Etude House yesterday.

 When I got there, the store wasn’t packed, just as what I expected. Maybe the rave has waned a bit but there were a good number of people. So I managed to pick- up stuff as fast as I could by criticizing ‘em quickly because the people, though relatively few, are hauling like crazy! Who can’t blame ‘em? The prices are cheap!

So here’s my loot. Actually, my basket was a bit full but I trimmed it down to these. I  put these in my basket and took them out eventually: three colors of the cookie blusher, a peach pact, a secret highlighter, a white eyeliner, a surprise concealer, a peel off mask and a model blush. I thought to myself, I wouldn’t use ‘em up all anyway so I might as well get the stuff that I really need. I really wanted to get a powder but too bad, the shades are too white for me. :p

I was really planning to get the Kissiful Tint Chou in Peach. Argh. Should’ve went back for it when I was in the mall. I also want to buy the Romantic Beauty Box and Stippling Brush.

 I sweaaarrr.. I’m going back there this week!  

You guys are right in saying that the SAs are not yet well- trained. I was asking a Filipina SA which facial wash is recommended for Oily skin. I pointed out the Happy Teatime line and asked if it's for oily skinned people. The SA replied "Ah eh...sa...ano po...yung...malangis na mukha." She's seems windang and I just politely replied "Oo nga, yung pang- oily skin." She just laughed it off and said "AY! Oo nga ma'm sorry hehehe.".

Well, good thing there is a Korean SA who gladly explains which is which. But good thing, there are english descriptions of the products on the tube. It pays if you give some time to reading the instructions. :)

One SA told me that it’s for display but I pleaded that I traveled all the way from Makati just to get a beauty stand.  I passed by Skin Food and The Face Shop. And there isn’t a single soul inside the boutiques aside from their SAs. Dayum. Business must be bad. Blame Etude. But you can’t blame the people, Etude is sooo budget- friendly!

THE BEAUTY JUNKEE’S TIP: If you’re lemming for Nars’ Schiap but find it too expensive, grab the Hot Pink lipstick from the Ultra VIP Dear Darling Lipstick. It’s a dupe. Believe me. I was wearing Schiap yesterday when I went to the store. J
