YESTERDAY'S END OF THE WEEK HAUL+ A DISAPPOINTING MAC EXPERIENCE (AGAIN)

Hi guys! How are your Sundays? I had a Badminton game with my mom and strolled the mall in the evening with my brother and mom.

Mom and I went to Essences Rustans because I wanted to check Stila.

Cashew Praline (Left) is made of Belgian Milk Chocolate with melted milk chocolate and cashew bits inside

Coconut Shrew (Right) is made of Belgian Milk Chocolate with white chocolate and coconut shavings inside.

I also managed to spot the Machiavelli Chocolatier beside T.LeClerc's counter. It's an expensive Belgian chocolate brand that sells lovely and SUPERBLY GOOD TASTING chocolates. I bought the Cashew Praline and Coconut Shrew for mom. It's 75php each so it's really expensive, yet worth buying because it's soooo good. I had to refrain from staying near it because I'm afraid I might splurge on it!

Then we went to the Stila counter to check the stuff out. I was so excited to check the counter only to find out that their items wouldn't excite me that much. I think they didn't carry the complete line here. But nevertheless, I was quite surprised that their items are quite cheap! Mom bought nothing but I hauled the following: lip rouge lip stain in beam (my fave item), face powder in light (too light for me so Mom ended up having it) and an eyeshadow refill in Golightly.

I'M NOT ASKING HER NOR TALKING TO HER BECAUSE I KNOW HOW SNOTTY AND ILL- MANNERED THE SAS IN MAC GLORIETTA ARE. THANKYOUVERYMUCH I CAN HELP MYSELF. BUT SHE WAS KIND ENOUGH TO BREAK THE ICE ONCE IN A WHILE BY TELLING ME A THING OR TWO ABOUT THEIR STUFF. I ASKED THE LADY SA IF THEY HAVE AN NC42 SHADE IN THE PRESSED POWDER PRODUCT. SHE SAID THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE SHADE. I SAW THE MINERALIZE LOOSE POWDER TESTER AND DECIDED TO CHECK IT BECAUSE IT SEEMED NEW TO ME. I ASKED FOR THE PRICE AND SHE SAID "1900PHP PO MA'M" I GAVE A NOD AND I PLACED THE MINERALIZE ITEM BACK TO ITS PLACE. I PLACED IT A BIT ON THE EDGE THEN THE SA TOOK THE POWDER, ARRANGED IT IN THE COUNTER AND SAID "AY, BAKA NAMAN MAHULOG". WHAT AN ILL- MANNERED BITCH! I THOUGHT THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR APPROACH TO THEIR CUSTOMERS BECAUSE HER ATTENDING ME IN THE STORE WAS A BIT OF AN IMPROVEMENT. BUT THEN, THEIR IMPOLITENESS IS REALLY THEIR INNATE CHARACTERISTIC. I JUST SMILED THEN LEFT THE STORE WITHOUT EVEN THANKING HER. WHAT DOES SHE TAKE ME FOR? DOES SHE THINK I CAN'T AFFORD WHAT SHE'S SELLING? I just recently sold my MAC PURPLE RITE LIPSTICK AND MAC LUSTRE EYESHADOW IN GREENSMOKE. I actually don't have any use for the two so instead of leaving them to rot in my make- up kit, I decided to sell these. 

Max97, who is Dinna in real life is an avid visitor of my blog, bought the two items at a discounted price of 1300php. I included freebies namely everyday minerals mineral foundation sample in light, kiehl's yerba mate tea lotion sample, kiehl's superbly restorative body lotion sample in a jar and kanebo fair white uv sunblock cream sample. 

We decided to meet in Palma Hall UP Diliman because I had to watch a theatre play. She was so kind to meet me there because it's so convenient for me.

To my surprise, she handed me a brand new Revlon All- Matte lipstick in Really Red. Honestly, I was REALLY surprised because I've never experienced such a thing in my life. Receiving a lovely gift from a total stranger. 

She said she just wanted to give me the lipstick because she was never a red lipstick wearer (yun ba sinabi nya? haha). It was such a surprise because she bought items from me, then she handed me a gift when in fact I should've included more freebies in her package for purchasing my stuff.

Right after the play, I wore the lipstick because it was Gala Night so there's dinner right after. It's such a lovely color, take a look at me wearing the lipstick: :D

It's a lovely shade right? It's actually a  dupe for MAC's Russian Red lipstick! I'll create the entry in a while :D

WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS I USE TO CLEAN MY FACE?

Okay, so here are the stuff I use everyday to clean my face.

I'm blessed with clear skin so I don't get allergies with any make- up brand. If there's one face problem that I have, it's brand- consciousness. :D It sounds funny and quite hard to comprehend why it has become my problem. Well, I've been a user of local products like HBC, Ever Bilena, Hazel Bishop, Careline, Nichido, etc. but I always end up with a stingy face, full of whiteheads and blackheads and pimples, as compared to the time when I used Bobbi Brown, Dior, MAC, Kryolan, etc. My face was absolutely flawless and I always get complimented for it. I truly don't understand why my face has become "brand- conscious". Truth be told, it's expensive to have a brand- conscious face so I try not to be as brand- conscious when it comes to fashion. I'd splurge more on face and make- up products.

So currently, here are the things that I use to clean my face:

KIEHL'S FOAMING NON- DETERGENT WASHABLE CLEANSER

- I bought this last sunday because this promises to battle oiliness. I'm still on a road test with this product. But so far, it keeps my oil glands at bay. Promising. :D

SHU UEMURA BALANCING CLEANSING OIL (YELLOW)

- THIS WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A FRIEND. THIS IS A TRAVEL- SIZE VERSION OF THE BIG BOTTLE. I'M NOT INTO THE SHU CLEANSING OIL RAVE BECAUSE I FIND THESE OVERRATED. BUT RIGHT NOW, I'M ACTUALLY THINKING OF PURCHASING A BIGGER BOTTLE BECAUSE THIS IS REALLY GOOD WHEN IT COMES TO EFFECTIVELY REMOVING WATERPROOF MASCARAS WITHOUT THE TUGGING. IT'S ALSO GOOD FOR THE FACE BECAUSE IT'S NON- GREASY AND DRIES QUICKLY.

PONDS COLD CREAM

- AN OLD- TIMER. I'VE BEEN USING THIS EVER SINCE HIGH SCHOOL. THIS EFFECTIVELY REMOVES EVERY SINGLE MASCARA RESIDUE UNDER MY EYES AFTER WASHING MY FACE WITH KIEHL'S AND REMOVING MY MASCARA WITH SHU UEMURA.

I was looking for some great MAC deals in ebay.ph when I came across this seller that sells Hello Kitty Mac items.

Based on this HELLO KITTY MASCARA product, the items are HELL FAKE. MAC didn't release anything like this in their collection and from the lipgloss colors itself, you would know that there's no such color released in the HK collection. The beauty powder is almost the same as the original one but my instincts tell me that this item is also fake like the others.

I have no qualms about fake products. It's business, and they're trying their best to earn. But what irks me so is that this seller is selling his/her FAKE items at exorbitant prices. It's like paying for the real thing already! Even though there are no statements whatsoever that the items are replicas or fakes, the price states that indeed, this seller claims that his/her items are original.

Please beware of fake cosmetics in ebay, especially like this one. Priced exorbitantly, yet fake. We don't know the chemicals used to create these products and we wouldn't want paying a fortune for fake items.

How to spot a fake Louis Vuitton

If there's one flaw of this bag that defined fashion and style, it would be how it can be easily replicated by the opportunists, that's why a lot have been fooled, and much worse, people pay tons of cash for fake LV bags, that seemed so real.

So don't be fooled. Let me show you some of the ways that could help you find out if the LV bag you own or lusting over is authentic or not.

1. ORIGINAL LOUIS VUITTONS HAVE A KEY AND LOCK

- This is not accurate, because "SEVEN STAR REPLICAS" include a lock and key plus control cards. An original LV bag's padlock is in a matte gold color with two keys included. And the control cards are just small, and it's made of soft cardboard. LVs DON'T PROVIDE CONTROL CARDS THAT ARE SIZED LIKE THE REGULAR CARDS (Credit cards, ID cards, atm cards)

2. THE HANDLES AND PARTS MADE OF COWHIDE LEATHER SHOULD DARKEN IN A MATTER OF DAYS

- The flaps, zipper flap and handles are made of authentic cowhide leather. Cowhide leather oxidizes in a matter of days. It's that easy because the Louis Vuitton company doesn't put anything to preserve the leather, which will make it lose it's excellent texture. The oxidation process takes place when the bag is oftentimes used because the handles, zipper flap and flaps darken, because they are exposed to elements such as air, rain, pollution and dust. If the leather doesn't oxidize in a matter of days, then it's fake.

3. THE TRIMMINGS OF AN ORIGINAL LV IS COLORED RED

- Look at the trimmings of your LV bag's handles/ straps. It's the lining that holds the handles together. It's glossy and should be in the color red, which will turn into dark red when your bag oxidizes. If the red looks like the color brown or dark brown, or dark red upon purchase, then the bag is fake.

4. THE LV COMPANY DOESN'T CUT THE "LV" LOGO IN THEIR BAGS

- The LV logo is not printed in the bag in such a way where the "L" is only showing or the "V" is only showing or edges of the letters L and V are the only things showing on the edges of the bag. LV doesn't cut their logo name. If you find the bags have cut LV logos, then it's fake.

5. THE LV LOGO IS INVERTED ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BAG

- Think of this, there is one big LV Monogram leather canvass and the LV letters are printed parallel to each other. Then the workers cut a portion of the leather to create an alma, bologne, speedy, trouville, etc. Then if they join the edges together by sewing the leather edges on the zipper, you'll get the picture that the LV letters are inverted on the other side, since the LV letters are printed parallel to each other. So if you fold a piece of leather, the other side will automatically be inverted (GOT IT?) :D

IT IS REALLY ADVISABLE THAT YOU BUY DIRECTLY FROM THE STORES OR FROM TRUSTED DIRECT SELLERS ONLY. IF PRICES ARE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, CHANCES ARE, THESE ITEMS ARE FAKE.

MAC eyeshadows are repackaged and you could already see that the shade names are printed at the upper right corner of the box flap. The sticker with the shade and other information at the back of the eyeshadow was already rotated to the left.

Usually, MAC eyeshadow label in front of the plastic glass cover that enables you to see the shade has a softer MAC inscription on it with a softer black font color.

Lastly, the case of the eyeshadows are in matte black, and the fake ones are in a shiny black casing.

*ONE IMPORTANT THING, MAC EYESHADOWS DON'T HAVE A SPONGE TIP APPLICATOR IN A CASE COMPARTMENT WITH THE EYESHADOW CASE. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS, THEN MOST PROBABLY, IT IS FAKE.

MAC lipsticks come in a bullet- shaped black tube with silver glimmers, with a matte silver tube that protects and holds the lipstick. It has a MAC inscription on the outer casing, which is in a silver- colored matte font. The inscription in the silver tube is in a black- colored matte font.

Brand new MAC lipsticks come in a small black box with white- colored matte inscriptions on it. The lipsticks have a slanted and pointed tip. MAC lipsticks have a signature vanilla scent and the satin, matte, amplified creme and lustre variants usually look the same on the tube. The difference is seen once you apply it on your lips. Frost variants have glimmer and a metallic shine but not glazed and uber frosted like the fake picture below.
