A little lighthearted post to add a bit of humour on a bland tuesday! (EDIT: At least that was when I wrote this...) I though I'd think about the comedy values of fashion, and Jessica Stam falling flat on her face pretty much springs to mind!

What I admire though, about these Catwalk mishaps, are that the models got up with grace and a big smile and carried on, when it probably would have been easier to lay in the middle of the catwalk and have a good old cry into their Proenza Shouler and Chloe.

And anyway it adds a bit of fun and takes away the pretense. I think someone should actually instruct their models to accidentally on purpose take a tumbl on the way down the catwalk for a bit of drama. Mr McQueens the man!...

I feel so sorry for this girl! She got up again with grace only to have another slippery fall right at the end. And it took about five seconds for her to actually reach the ground. Try not to be tempted to search for it on YouTube...

These girls are so beautiful and are lucky to be blessed with such exquisite cheekbones and dainty european doll features, but they're ruining these fantastic advantages by being too skinny!

I understand the fact that models who are slimmer present the clothes to people in a more versatile way, but look at Sasha's baggy eyes! They're turning into two hollow holes in her face, and her beautiful blue eyes are fading!

Even top make up artists can't hide the grey shading of their sockets!







Someone do us a favour and swap their Fiji and salad for a milkshake and a good slab of cheesy lasagne!

It seems that these days, rather than being handselected by a scout at your local shopping centre or music festival, supermodels are being reared on reality TV shows. Although, thats not necessarily a bad thing...

Although Jen seemed to be the one who claimed to break the mould of the Skinny supermodel (well, actually she was a bit of a hypocrite when she admited she'd love to be a size 8) and Marianne was pushed into a debate about supermodel size, she was the one who continued to produce stunning pictures and has what it takes to be a supermodel.

Just look at the pictures-they look like the kind of think that might greet you in Vogue or Dazed, but they're from a reality TV show!

Orange Delight

Heres a collection of pictures of the great model that is Karen Elson. I love how different some of these pictures are. Like I just don't see the model as being her in the one below, she looks like an anonymous woman from another age, and thats what models should be able to do. She can recreate her identity in an instant. As soon as she walks down the catwalk she makes you forget than shes from Manchester (I was so surprised when I learnt this!) and that she shares a bed with Jack White!

Kate and Pete ARE engaged! ♥♥♥

So its official, K and P are going to get married! After speculations, and the fact that Kate had started wearing a ring, its been confirmed.

Kate used Nick Knight's Masked Ball as an opportunity to break the news "We are engaged." Pete also said "Yes we are getting married - if she'll have me."

Pete told fans "It’s going to happen at a Scottish castle somewhere between September and November. A posh Scottish castle. That’s gonna be so cool.”

Kate wore a gold Stella McCartney dress, which was a present from her designer friend. Other guests to the star studded party included Gisele, Lizzie J, Alexander McQueen, Scarlett Johanson, Alexandra Shulman and Bobby Gillespie.



Waitresses served Champagne with victorian style hooped skirts (above), and in my opinion one of the best get-ups of the evening came from Chloe Pridham, who I've actually never heard of, who was wearing a fabulous Galliano ballgown that was featured in this month's UK Vogue as part of the feature on the Ball. Very fashion forward as always. The dress that Kate wore for the ball was the same dress that she modelled in this shoot.
