THE LIPSTICK JUNGLE
THE CHEAP THRILLER'S ADVENTURE: MY FIRST MAC LIPGLOSS
I really wanted to have a MAC lipgloss. Either dazzleglass, lipglass, tinted lipglass, lustreglass, chromeglass or whatever glass MAC has. But unfortunately, I can't seem to include it in my shopping list. It's either I need a powder or something else more than the gloss so I settle for whichever is important. I just wanted 3 colors. A pinkish one, a brownish one and a peachy colored one.
I was browsing through girltalk and I saw sis Ali unloading her make- up loot and saw that she's selling her once used MAC Lustreglass in Beaux. 300php, with box. Without thinking, I messaged her and told the item will be bought by me.
I got my package and unfolded my first- ever MAC lipgloss. It's in a mocha- brown shade with gold pearl pigments. It promises a shine that transcends "shine" itself and true enough, it did.
It appears nude with a hint of gold sparkle on your lips, making it look luscious and plump and sexy. But if you're no lipgloss fan, you might find this gooey since it has a semi- thick consistency so you'll feel you're wearing gloss. But it lasts long and smells like vanilla. Just don't walk outside during windy days. You might find your hair stuck on your lips and your gloss smudged on your cheeks.
I'm not saying that it's messy. It's lipgloss, so what do you expect? Overall, I love this because I purchased this for 300php only. That's 400php off the price tag of boutique prices. Second, sis Ali is so accommodating and finally, I already have my first- ever MAC lipgloss. If you wanna try your hand on MAC lipglasses, it's worth the buy. But I don't see the need to buy every single lipglass MAC has (well, it's up to you if you really like the product), or maybe, I'm just a very practical buyer. And it's good on top of a MAC lipstick. In a way, the two products work well with each other. Try your hand on a Beaux lustreglass and a Malt satin lipstick. ;)

THE CHEAP THRILLER'S ADVENTURE: A NEW TUBE OF HAPPINESS
I just bought this tube of MAC Matte Lipstick in Russian Red from sis Phoebe of swipesomegloss.com. Thrice used and sanitized by her, and at a whopping 300php only but sans the box. I've always loved this ever since first year highschool! But sadly, it's always out of stock in rustan's and shangri- la. It's an intense red lipstick with a blue midtone.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT:KRYOLAN SUPRACOLOR PALETTE FOUNDATION 6'S
KRYOLAN SUPRACOLOR FOUNDATION PALETTE 6’S
THIS PALETTE COSTED ME: 1,1750PHP
WHERE: THEATRE COLLEAGUE
YOU CAN FIND THIS AT: KRYOLAN, IL TERAZZO MALL, TOMAS MORATO, Q.C.
THE LOW- DOWN:
Kryolan is the leading cosmetic brand that caters to professional fields like film, theatre and magazines. Kryolan is a german cosmetic company that formulates cosmetics for MAC and Bobbi Brown. It’s counterpart in the u.s. is Beneye. They also produce masks, special effects make- up, wigs, moustaches and blood liquids for effects.
Kryolan is known for their waterproof foundations and long lasting powders. The t.v. paint stick is the famous foundation type for stage and tv artists because it really conceals any blemish and provides a good canvas for other make- up forms. It also claims that it provides more coverage than the ultrafoundation. The foundation palette in supracolor type, is known for its durability to withstand sweat and humid conditions that’s why it’s indispensable in the theatre. The ultrafoundation provides a strong concealing power, and is mainly used in film and theatre as well. Kryolan also has the DERMACOLOR line, which is formulated to conceal extreme blemishes like freckles, birthmarks and other scars. The aquacolor palette is the ultimate waterproof foundation that comes in colors like blue, red, green, yellow and has glittered varieties for special effects make- up as well.
THE REVIEW:
I love kryolan. A little goes a long way and the palette will really last you for ages. You also get to experiment because I have 6 shades of different foundations in a palette. The black color is for shading and special effects though. It’s kinda’ thick though so you’ll really feel like you’re wearing foundation if you opt to use it as an everyday make- up. But it’s buildable so you can control the coverage. I introduced kryolan to my mom and she absolutely loved it. The case is kinda’ long but thin enough to fit some spaces in your bag. I also like the metal case. You’ll love how it hides all your marks and blemishes. Definitely a good buy! I used to purchase mine from a theatre friend who directly sells kryolan. But kryolan has already opened a store in the P.I. so don’t forget to check it out at IL TERAZZO BLDG. Tomas Morato, Q.C. You can also check http://kryolan.multiply.com for their products.
I give this a 9.5 out of 10.
PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: ECLAT D' ARPEGE BY LANVIN
Okay so i have this bottle of an expensive looking perfume called ECLAT D' ARPEGE BY LANVIN PARIS.
THIS COSTED ME: 2,250PHP (30ML)
THE LOW- DOWN:
As we all know, France produces great fragrance oils imported by the world's leading designer houses to make their perfumes. And French perfumes are waaaaaayyyy ttooooooo EXPENSIVE. So here's something that's affordable and budget- friendly (well, not really). The Lanvin line.
To tell you the truth, despite the large amount of money that it has cost me, I overall love the packaging. But be careful by holding it in the right place or else your 2250php will scatter as broken glasses and spilled perfume on the floor. It has 2 rings on the cap but I still don't understand what its for. And a crystal tops off the cap. The bottle is round shaped with a drawing of an adult and a young girl (could be a representation of the French women).
The smell? Oh it's just like D&G Light Blue. BUT--- It's more feminine and it's not tangy like DKNY, which I like. From the D&G light blue smell, it turns into a floral, cottony soft scent that would be a young adolescent girl, if I were asked to physicalize the scent. IT SMELLS EFFIN' GOOD. No wonder France is the leading distributor of perfume oils all over the world. They have like really good scents!
It's not surprising if it's expensive. It's really worth your money and it really smells luxurious and expensive. If you have some money to spare, I recommend you buy a bottle of this and see for yourself. My husband loved it so much. It's the perfect perfume for him because it's not overpowering and it smells beautiful. Believe in the myth that you must find a scent that will make him turn his head around every time you pass by. And oh, before I forget, this stays for hours and is best sprayed on the skin. It reacts with your skin's chemistry, thus, making it last longer. Now that's a good perfume characteristic. Spraying some on clothes wouldn't hurt as well.
Would I buy this again? Of course I would. I'd like to try my hand on a 100ml. On my birthday. :)
I'LL GIVE THIS A 10 OUT OF 10.
