Antonello is really acting, by creating an absolutely natural product in the full respect of nature, the result of a production process free of all compromise.

Sarabanda Italy Spring/Summer 2011 Collection on The Catwalk at Pitti Immagine Bimbo

In Sarabanda's new collection, which draws inspiration from different themes, little girls and little boys play the main characters in present and retro settings.

The theme of CINEMA features the little boy who plays the film-maker and chooses British-taste clothes: jackets, cardigans and checkered fabrics; the little girl plays the role of the leading actress who wears stylish garments, plenty of stripes and a touch of bright blue. Red and white are the leading colors, besides blue.

The two children also play stars of the 1960’s, an age revised through the mood of present time. For the little girl and boy, a retro style transferred to nowadays. The little boy wears the typical garments of that age – jackets, cardigans and berets – interpreted in light colors, mainly pale blue and white. The garments for the little girl feature clean lines, with details and graphics typical of the 1960’s, and brought up-to-date through the use of sequins.

The two interpreters of the new collection are also tireless travelers who love choosing a wardrobe suitable for any destination. If they leave to visit European capitals, they will choose clothes which are comfortable, casual and glamor at the same time. He likes best denim, as well as green and blue combined with white. The colors for the little girl are paler – pink, light green and denim, featuring flowers and butterflies typical of these sunny and warm places.

Il Gufo Launches Spring/Summer collection 2011 at Pitti Immagine Bimbo Trade Show

The luxury childrenswear brand Il Gufo presented their Spring/Summer 2011 season collection at The Pitti Immagine Bimbo Trade Show. Delicate turquoise, coral and sand tones combined with the more spring-like hues of blue and pearl grey flow onto soft natural fabrics, like linens, cottons and voiles for a collection as refreshing as a sea breeze.

For girls gauzy feather-light fabrics: geometric jersey, voile and silk gauze applications alight softly on colored plissé knit dresses, descending on shoulders and bodices like petals. Smocked bodices creating playful ripples of light and shade give pretty brightly colored voile dresses a stylish touch.

Boyswear is based on contrasts: polo shirts made from white cotton piquet with stripy collars and stripy T-shirts and shirts made of cotton, linen or jersey, with normal collars, Nehru collars or white collars and cuffs. The classic logo makes way for tiny stylised owls, finely embroidered or applied to the fabric.

For babies and toddlers we have created a special line of cashmere cotton knitwear. A magical zoo of playful bears, friendly crocodiles and merry little fish, elephants, giraffes and lions are embroidered or applied to the fabrics of the baby collection.
