Organics for Kids, founded 6 years ago by Jane Shepherd, continues to expand with a bright new brushed cotton range for AW2010, increasing the age range up to 3 years for the first time. There is also a new gecko print to join the creatures range, and a new raspberry addition to the spotty range.
The new ‘Winter Warmers’ range is be launched in six vivid colours, including cosy reversible jackets, hoodies, trousers, skirts and matching T-shirts. The range, which will cover sizes newborn to 3 years, will draw on the popular spots for linings, pockets and other accessories.
The decision to manufacture in the UK allows excellent quality control and the ability to introduce new ranges on a relatively quick and flexible basis.
Designer Jane Shepherd is delighted, “I always enjoyed manufacturing locally (some people thought we were mad), but now it’s really paying off, allowing flexibility and great quality control. It feels like the right decision, and really good to be supporting the local textile sector. It also gives our customers the confidence to know how and where the products are made."
