PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: BOBBI BROWN SKIN FOUNDATION IN WARM ALMOND (4.5)

Here's an initial review on BOBBI BROWN SKIN FOUNDATION (WARM ALMOND 4.5)

PRICE: 2450PHP

PLACE BOUGHT: RUSTAN'S, MAKATI CITY

THE VERDICT:

I've been lemming for foundation for quite some time now because it has scored 4.5 in Makeupalley's scoreboard and for some unknown reason, I was determined to buy this foundation. :p

By the time I already have the funds to purchase this, my shade, Warm Almond, which is the darkest shade they have, was out of stock. Bea, the nice BB SA told me that probably the stocks will come around November because the stocks come every month. He got my number but I told myself that these SAs are just for show, they'll just get your number but they wouldn't really update you anyway.

At around October 2 or 3, Bea messaged me via text that the the Warm Almond shade was already available and that there are only 3 stocks available. I told in my MUFE HD Foundation blog post before that my BB Skin Foundation lemming was already subsiding. Besides, I already have Paul and Joe. But when I found out that it was already available, the lemming just came back, and it became stronger. So to no avail, I went there to get my reservation because Bea was sooo kind enough to reserve me a bottle of the Skin Foundation in Warm Almond.

Okay, so let's go to the actual product.

This is the newest foundation by Bobbi Brown. It comes in a glass bottle that's kinda' lightweight and it's also convenient because it comes in a pump. The pump is user- friendly because it doesn't give you a hard time like MUFE's HD Foundation. Also, you can control the amount of foundation you get by pumping it lightly or heavily. That way, you only get the amount you need without wasting anything.

So here's a swatch of the product. The consistency is watery, since this foundation is water- based. It has no mineral oils whatsoever, which goes to show that this is good for combination- oily skinned people. What made this a winner is because for foundation that is so lightweight and sheer, it does deliver good coverage! It does give you light- medium coverage.

I think it's being water- based is the reason why this foundation acts just like your second skin. Check out the product spread on the back of my hand. It's like I put nothing! :P

INGREDIENTS

So here's my face without anything yet except my Kryolan Invisible Matt.

And here's my face with the Skin Foundation. Notice how it enhanced my skin without looking too unnatural nor cakey. I also like the dewy- ness of the foundation because matte look is sooo long ago. :) Dewy and healthy looking skin is a key factor in achieving that Natural or no make- up look.

Notice the bumps on my cheeks. Without the foundation, these are quite reddish. The coverage did a good job in concealing the redness so I give it's coverage 100 points! :)

Here's my whole face with Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation.

Here's my face set with powder. Can you actually tell that I'm wearing any foundation? True enough, it does give great coverage though it is "invisible".

**I LOVE MY SKIN FOUNDATION! :P

I am soo happy with my purchase, no regrets. The only con of this product is, well, it's expensive. But the watery consistency makes this spreadable and blending- friendly and one pump can actually cover half of your face! So I'm pretty sure this will last me a long time. :)

UPDATE: It does make your face look slick but fear not, it may look like oil but it's actually the "dew" look that the foundation gives off to my face. Also, my face is kinda' excreting some oil already as well. My face is a bit oily, since my t-zone is forever my problem but the foundation is still intact on the rest of my face. It didn't streak nor cake nor did it run- off and stained my hands which goes to show that lasting power is also impressive. Been wearing it for 5 hours now! :)
