Ethical baby fashion brand bee-bee launched its new collection of organic lounge wear for babies and kids at Bubble London. The 2011 Summer collection, based on bee-bee's trademark spirit of simplicity with fresh pastels, pretty floral prints and humorous slogans, and introduces animal patterns in this season's new look.
In the spirit of fairtrade that defines bee-bee's ethos, the baby and kid's lounge wear collection - which includes bodysuits, vests, nightdresses, leggings and lounge pants - is all made from 100% super soft organic cotton produced in India and certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard).
Mother of two Agnes Guillard launched bee-bee in 2008 after attending the Re:Fashion exhibition organized by Anti-Apathy where she was distraught to learn about the highly damaging consequences of conventional cotton on mankind and the environment.
Agnes explains, "I was expecting my first child Josephine when I attended the conference and was appalled to find out how harmful on the environment the cotton industry can be. I realized there was a niche in the market to create eco-friendly baby clothes that would help protect the environment as well as the baby’s sensitive skin."
Bee-bee’s range of sweet, fresh and simple lounge wear offers the perfect basics any caring mother needs to dress her baby in a healthy, comfortable and stylish grow whilst taking a step to help save the environment.
